About this tour

This excursion will take you on a journey of the Köyceğiz lake, Sultaniye mud baths, Temple Tombs and the famous Dalyan turtle beach.

Here the open sea water meets the sweet water of the river making it the perfect location for turtles to come ashore and lay their eggs on the sandy beach at Dalyan.

We start the day with a pick up around 8am from your accommodation. The onward journey from Marmaris will take around 45 minutes to Köyceğiz village where you will board your river boat for the journey across the river to the famous Sultaniye mud baths. The mud baths and hot springs have been known to have special health benefits. Please remember to remove any silver jewellery as it may tarnish in the mud!

From here we will return to the boat for your lunch featuring locally cooked cuisine.

Your boat journey will move along the river to the amazing ancient rock tombs and the city of Caunos. Your guide will enchant you with legends and the tales of this historic city.

Moving along the river you will come to Dalyan turtle beach (Iztuzu Beach) where you can swim in either the fresh water of the lake or the beach itself

If you are lucky enough there is a chance to see the turtles of Dalyan. This excursion will be one to remember and tell your friends about.
